Webster’s incredible streak and devotion to surfing made him a true icon in the sport, inspiring generations of wave riders.

Dale Webster was Born and raised in Northern California. He made history by surfing every single day for nearly 29 years straight. His streak began in 1975 and continued until October 2004, when he was forced to stop after 10,407 consecutive days — a feat that earned him a place in the Guinness World Records.

Webster surfed mostly at Dillon Beach in Sonoma County, braving everything from storms and injuries to personal milestones, never missing a single day in the water. His devotion to surfing became both a personal mission and a symbol of endurance that captured the admiration of surfers worldwide.

Outside of his record-setting passion, Webster lived a modest life rooted in family and community. He was married with a daughter, and often said that his daily commitment was less about chasing records and more about proving to himself what was possible through persistence and love of the ocean.
