Maureen Maguire, the girlfriend of Ed Kelce and stepmother figure to NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, has died at 74.
Ed Kelce shared the news in a Facebook post on Saturday, saying she “passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones,” according to her obituary.
According to her obituary, she was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast High School and West Chester University. Maureen began her career as an elementary school teacher before dedicating herself to raising her family.
She was known for her love of the beach, her fondness for dogs—especially her loyal companion Butch—and her late-in-life passion for football, which she shared with Ed Kelce. The couple enjoyed traveling, attending games and concerts, and making the most of every moment together.
Maureen was admired for her style, humor, and gift for hospitality. Whether hosting unforgettable parties or making new friends, she brought warmth and joy wherever she went. Her compassion, charm, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
According to the U.S. Sun, Ed Kelce shared in an interview last year that his girlfriend had formed a bond with Taylor Swift. He recalled her joking with Swift during a photo, teasing that she was “stealing her boyfriend” while posing with Ed.
While it’s unclear exactly when Ed Kelce met Maureen Maguire, their relationship began sometime after his split from ex-wife Donna Kelce.
Ed Kelce, 74, and his ex-wife Donna, 72, were married in the late 1970s and spent nearly 25 years together before separating after their sons had graduated from college. They welcomed Jason in 1987 and Travis in 1989.

In an interview last October, Donna shared that she and Ed kept a “friendly relationship” during their marriage to support their sons, Jason and Travis Kelce, now both NFL stars per Page Six.
